User Data Deletion

At POSTED, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we collect, how you can request deletion of your data, and what happens when you do.
This policy applies to all data collected through the POSTED mobile application and website, including data obtained via third-party platform integrations such as Meta (Instagram), TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.

What data we store
When you use POSTED, we store the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: Name, email address, encrypted password
- Workspace data: Workspace name, logo, team member information
- Social account tokens: OAuth access tokens for connected social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Content data: Posts, captions, media files, and scheduling data you created in the app
- Analytics data: Performance metrics pulled from connected social accounts
- Communication data: Email address used for waitlist signup or support
- Usage data: App interaction logs and feature usage patterns
How to request deletion
You can request deletion of your data in two ways:

In-app deletion
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the POSTED app. This immediately initiates deletion of your account and all associated data.

Email request
Email us at privacy@postedlabs.io with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will confirm receipt within 48 hours.

Via Meta's platform
If you connected POSTED via your Facebook/Instagram login, you can also revoke access and request data deletion directly from your Facebook App Settings → Remove POSTED → Request data deletion.
What gets deleted
Upon a confirmed deletion request, we will permanently delete:
- Your POSTED account and login credentials
- All workspace data, team configurations, and settings
- All connected social account OAuth tokens — disconnecting POSTED from all platforms
- All posts, drafts, media files, and scheduled content
- All analytics data associated with your account
- All Firebase records across Authentication, Firestore, and Storage
- Your email address from our marketing list (Loops.so)

Data we may retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain data beyond your deletion request as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Financial records: Transaction history may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws
- Legal holds: Data subject to pending legal proceedings may be retained until the matter is resolved
- Fraud prevention: Minimal identifying data may be retained to prevent re-registration by banned users
- Aggregated analytics: Anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you
Any retained data is protected by the same security measures described in our Privacy Policy and deleted as soon as retention is no longer required.
Third-party platform data
Deleting your POSTED account does not delete content that has already been published to your social media accounts. Published posts remain on those platforms and must be deleted directly through those platforms' own tools and settings.
Revoking POSTED's access to your social accounts can also be done directly through each platform:
- Instagram / Facebook: Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → Remove POSTED
- TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage App Permissions → Remove POSTED
- X (Twitter): Settings → Security and Account Access → Connected Apps → Revoke POSTED
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data Privacy → Third-party applications → Remove POSTED
- YouTube / Google: myaccount.google.com → Third-party apps with account access → Remove POSTED
